All this while, we borderline disliked Appa for his strictness and anti-technology views. When he stopped his family for using mobile phones, we got frustrated at the injustice that he meted out. Especially, when Nachiket rallied against Appa to show the Ketkar family the advantages of a mobile phone, we loyally supported Nachiket. However, our views were changed after the recent episode of Almost Sufal Sampoorna. In this episode, Appa proved to Ajji and the audience how addictive the phone can be.
Watch an episode of Almost Sufal Sampoorna below:
Appa tactfully made Ajji realise how much the Ketkar family has started relying on the phone in a short span of time. Ajji saw that Sai’s parents and her Kaku had stopped their work just to do online shopping and check the phone for no reason. Seeing them engrossed in this addictive modern technology, hit us too close to home. It made us conscious of the time that we waste scrolling through our social media platform while having a lack of self-control when every time our mobile buzzes. In the serial, Ajji agreed to Appa who was disappointed in his family members. Although we agree a mobile phone does have its own perks, it also comes with a baggage of getting too involved in your virtual life that you forget what’s going on in front of you.
In the next scene, Appa called them together and scolded them for prioritising their phone over their responsibilities. Surprisingly, Nachiket too agreed with Appa. After watching this scenario, we feel guilty for doing so on an everyday basis. Do you agree with Appa? We would love to know your thoughts in the comments below.
