Almost Sufal Sampoorna: Will Appa’s Family Point Out His Mistake?

In Almost Sufal Sampoorna, Appa is charging Nachiket for his meals. This, we think, is unkind even for Appa.

Appa from Almost Sufal Sampoorna

In a traditional Indian household, pointing out elders’ mistakes is frowned upon. You are taught to take their word as gospel and not question their actions which are always believed to have a greater good hidden in them. We see this situation reflected in the Ketkar house in Almost Sufal Sampoorna. Even though Appa makes mistakes and treats Nachiket harshly, no one protests against him. Recently, after Nachiket started living with the Ketkars, Appa started charging him money for every meal he has at the house. No one appreciated Appa dragging business at home. But, do you think they will make Appa realise his mistake?

Watch an episode of Almost Sufal Sampoorna below:

No one thought Nachiket will ever move to Sai’s house and start living with her family. However, it didn’t happen and this (of course!) did not go down well with Appa. In a bid to make Nachiket’s life difficult, Appa started charging Nachiket for the food he eats. The ladies of the family, including Sai, didn’t like Appa’s stingy attitude towards Nachiket. In fact, Sai’s mother had a conversation with her husband confessings her opinion on this issue. She said Appa is making this house like a hostel and charging for food is petty, even for Appa. In this conversation, Sai’s father admitted that although he doesn’t agree with Appa’s behvaiour there is little he can do. Since Appa is the most senior member, his decisions can’t be ignored.

Seeing this situation, we hope at least Sai tells Appa that he is doing a mistake. We suggest this because Appa has a soft corner for Sai so only she has the power to reach him. After reading this, we would love to know what would you do had you been in Nachiket’s situation? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
