As much as spinach is good in your diet, it always equally contributes to hair growth. Being a gold mine filled with antioxidants, vitamins A, B (B1, B2, B3, B6 folic acid and Biotin) and C, this green leafy vegetable helps in the production of red blood cells which in turn assist hair growth. You could make a smoothie or prepare a hair mask by mixing it with the coconut oil.
You can’t deny that soybean is a superstar and rich source of protein in the vegetarian fare. In India, it is also popularly eaten in the tofu form, which has iron, calcium and Omega-3 fatty acids in huge amounts. Due to which having soya can help you grow your hair faster and adding moisture to your hair while preventing hair splits due to worsening climate conditions.
3. Walnuts and Almonds
Just like soybean, even walnuts are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, selenium and biotin. Because of this, they make a great option for hair care and growth. These days, even the natural and organic brands opt for walnuts as one of their ingredients. While you are going nuts (just kidding!), include almonds in your diet, too, as they are a rich source of vitamin E. Consuming almonds and using them in the oil form helps in refilling the protein content. To see good results, you need to eat it every day.
4. Whole grains
Want to make your hair shiny and lustrous? Opt of whole wheat which is a powerhouse of zinc. The use of whole grains will give you the required amounts of iron, biotin and B vitamins. The biotin which produces amino acids is one of the key ingredients in hair growth.
An important study has proven that pumpkin in the oil form reduces hair loss and baldness. The potassium in pumpkin assists in keeping hair healthy and promoting hair regrowth. Along with this, the zinc and folate content are key ingredients which stimulate hair growth. Thanks to this, you can opt for pumpkin seed oil when you are doing ‘hair champi/massage’. Pumpkin mixed with yoghurt and coconut oil is a brilliant hair mask for dry hair.
Which of the above ingredients are you going to incorporate into your daily diet? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
